When headroom, capacity and spans are not an issue, a Single Girder Crane is your most economical crane choice. Single Girder Cranes are typically the most cost-efficient electric cranes to place into service. A top running crane has a bridge beam sitting on top of an end truck with an underhung hoist; whereas an underhung/running crane hangs from an end truck that rides under the runway beam, also with an underhung hoist.
